Anaheim is world famous for Disneyland, but there's a lot to do in Anaheim and the OC. Most of the attractions you will need a car, since So Cal is spread out. Just down the street from Disneyland is the stadium of the Anaheim Angels baseball and across from there is the Mighty Ducks hockey team. A few miles northwest of Disneyland is Knott's berry farm, the oldest theme park. If you like Fried Chicken, you MUST try their famous chicken dinner. Its a deal! 3 hr of free parking available and plenty of cute shops to check out... including the year round Christmas store. In the OC is also former President Nixon's home and library, and see the "real" OC by visiting Newport Beach or Laguna, an artist colony. San Diego is only 1 1/2 hrs south, and half way to SD is the Outlet Stores, and even LegoLand. Like to gamble? About 1 1/2 hours outside Orange County (ie: Temecula) are Indian reservations with places like Casino Morango, Pachenga, Pala, Viejo, and more. They've made many of them into resorts, with full service hotels and spas. Skiing is only 2 hrs away, and the beach is right next door. There's so much to do... if you want to venture out!

From the delicious treats and penny-arcades on Main Street (by the way, it really does take pennies in the nostalgic arcade games!), to Cinderella's glimmering castle set in the middle of the park, to Old Favorites such as Pirates of The Caribbean, the Teacups, and It's a Small World, Disneyland Park has entertainment for visitors from ages 1 to 100. Mission San Juan Capistrano
Mission San Juan Capistrano, the Birthplace of Orange County, was founded more than two hundred years ago as the 7th of 21 missions statewide, and one with a chapel still standing where Fr. Serra once celebrated Mass. Today it is Anaheim's monument to California's multi-cultural history, embracing its Native American, Spanish, Mexican and European heritage. Originally built as a self sufficient community by Spanish Padres and Indians, the Mission was a center for agriculture, industry, education and religion in Anaheim. The serenity and peace amid the 10 acres of lush gardens and cool fountains, cloistered by old adobe walls, offers visitors respite from the sights and sounds of a busy world.
